First Ramadan at InterContinental Doha The City offers sophisticated Iftar options and bespoke chocolate

During the holy month of Ramadan, guests can break their fast at the highest point in Doha – Strata at InterContinental Doha The City – on the 55th and 56th floors of the West Bay skyscraper.
Offering a more contemporary take on Iftar, including both Arabic and international flavours, Strata provides guests with panoramic views of the city at sunset, creating a unique Ramadan atmosphere for its privileged guests.
Elsewhere at InterContinental Doha The City, The Square will provide a bountiful Iftar buffet, with traditional food from the region as well as Asian influences and a range of healthy choices including fresh salad and soup options, and grilled meats.
To mark the hotel’s first Ramadan since opening, the Criollo chocolatier will create bespoke, handmade chocolates, including dark chocolate options and delicacies made with cumin and other compelling flavours not found anywhere else in Doha. Alongside its hand-crafted chocolates, Criollo will offer a range of teas such as the renowned Qatari Karak and Arabic sweets, to the accompaniment of an oud player every evening.
“InterContinental Doha The City is making our mark in Qatar by offering experiences not found elsewhere, and this is also how we plan to host guests for the hotel’s first Ramadan. From breaking one’s fast at the city’s highest point, to sampling the iftar variety on offer at The Square, to enjoying freshly-created chocolates at Criollo, Ramadan at InterContinental Doha The City delivers a unique flavour for both residents and guests,” said Renzo Cavagliotti, General Manager of InterContinental Doha The City.
For first-time visitors to Doha during Ramadan, InterContinental Doha The City’s concierge team is available to provide ‘in the know’ insight on the traditions of the holy month, including business hours and cultural practices.
Strata’s Iftar offering is available daily from 6pm at QR 250 per guest, while The Square’s Iftar buffet is available at QR 180 per guest, with à la carte options also on offer from 9pm. Arabic desserts, special chocolate trays and a range of teas will be served at Criollo from 8pm, to the sounds of an oud player.
